Today, one day after Vladimir Putin was sworn in as Russian president, again, he nominated his other "Tandem" half as Prime Minister, as promised, and Dmitry Medvedev was approved by the Duma.
There was much speculation that, as head of the Government, Medvedev would have the responsibility for all the hard tasks to come, especially if energy prices did not stay high enough to fulfill all Putin's promises. The newly ex-President as potential fall guy.
