In 1983, the occasion was the publication of Drew's book entitled POLITICS AND MONEY: The New Road to Corruption, and Lee Walczak's review was entitled "Has PAC Money Become the Root of Political Evil?" In 2012, Drew has a much-commented upon article in the New York Review of Books entitled "Can We Have a Democratic Election?" (February 23 issue, here). Now the problem is Super PACs.
