if exactly, it is from an episode named "King of Blackmail" produced in 1980 (!).

The Soviet Sherlock Holmes series were screened since 1979 to 1986.

  2. Thank you! Do you know if this was an original episode, or if it is an adaptation of one of Conan Doyle's stories (and if so, which one)?

    1. This is based on Sir Doyle's story: The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton.

Livanov is one of my all-time favorite Holmes. Vitaly Solomin is a great Watson as well.

      Cheers!
